The island of Thassos doesn't just offer exotic beaches and traditional mountain villages. There is so much more to do here than to just swim in the sea and try the local baklava (a very sticky and sweet dessert)! Here's a brief list of some other things you can experience when visiting Thassos.
Hiking & Mountain-climbing Recent efforts are bringing old, disused footpaths linking the islands villages back into use again. Hikers will have the pleasure of taking in scenery of unique natural beauty and unspoilt surroundings, including trails and walks already used leading to the peak of Mount Ipsarion.

Water Sports
The calm, clean sea around the coast of Thassos is ideal for many water sports including water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, diving and much more. (Locally available at Golden Beach - a short 10 minute walk from our Studios). ![]() Fishing
All around the island you can often catch a variety of fish and sea food like Grey Mullet, Sea Bream, Whitebait, Mackerel and Octopus. Small fishing boats may be hired locally. ![]() Caves of Thassos
If you are up to an adventure, the caves of Thassos may be just the thing you are looking for. These caves have not been developed for tourism and many passages are still unexplored. There are no organized tours or guides yet available so we do recommend that before you enter the cave you have already had first-hand experience with this sort of activity or that you are accompanied with someone who does. |
